Shinoid's paintings are hybrids of gestural/expressionistic movements and abstract biomorphic forms. Each painting is a dreamy world of unrecognizable familiarity and distant intimacy that evokes emotions with organic forms. "I want the viewers to feel a sense of wonder when looking at my paintings. I invite them to be curious and to daydream." In Shinoid's paintings, the viewer can step out of the everyday world, connect with the magical or the mystical, and tap into the memories of unknown sources. Trained in biological science, Shinoid uses art as the ultimate filter to process the experiences and the world around her. Shinoid is often inspired by nature, calligraphy, music, and inquiries on human consciousness. The artist is interested in finding beauty at the in-between places that have blurred or merged boundaries - such as between nature and man-made, between imagining and remembering, as well as between unconscious influence and the conscious mind.

Shinoid is based in the U.S. Southwest.
